PLAY, OK: LOGO AND MURAL

Play, OK! is an indoor playground and community center in Altus, Oklahoma. It features a custom, hand-built playscape for kids ages 2-7, plus dedicated infant and toddler areas, which are thoughtfully designed to help littles meet developmental milestones. Parents and caregivers can relax in one of our lounge areas, all within view of the entire play area.

However, Play, OK is more than just an indoor playground. They also strive to provide a real sense of community among the families of Altus and beyond. Located in SE Oklahoma, they have a spacious, climate-controlled facility for families to enjoy, and they host a variety of programming - including but not limited to playgroups, drop-in classes, community events, and more.

I got to collaborate on the logo and mural design for Play, OK with my husband, Dane Heins. We wanted the mural to act as an extension of the logo, which features a treehouse - a classic icon that is tied to a child’s creativity, sense of adventure, and acts as a place where memories are made. The font we chose for Play, OK, is rounded and meant to appear friendly and casual. The waves outside the treehouse bring in large areas of color that weave together, much like how this business brings the community of Altus, together.
