Owl Crate Jr. Fabric Book Jacket

I had the opportunity to work on a really fun project with Owl Crate Jr. that sadly ended up getting cut when they rebranded/refocused to Owl Crate Book Emporium in Fall 2023. I created some bold and colorful lettering and illustrations for a fabric book jacket inspired by the amazing M.G.Leonard’s The Highland Falcon Thief children’s book! This book jacket would have been included in that month’s Owl Crate Jr box alongside the book itself. Below are some sketches that I pitched based on their art direction where the jacket was minimal but had some elements borrowed from the original book.

It would be a dream project for me to lend my lettering to a book cover someday!
