a novel idea bookshop: logo AND branding

Every once in a while, a project comes along that speaks to you on many levels. This is one of them! When Chelsea, an avid Oklahoma book blogger, came to me with a dream of opening A Novel Idea Bookshop, she told me that her goal was to provide a safe space for young adults in a small town like Guthrie that introduced them to the world and welcomed them in with open arms. Being a bibliophile myself, this was the perfect opportunity to bring some whimsy and magic into her logo and brand illustrations as well (one of them being shop dog, Mr. Darcy). I’m truly so excited to see this bookstore capture the hearts of many with its unique collection and amazing vision.

I also got to design and paint a mural with my husband Dane for this lovely bookstore!
